The Accounts Assistant Role:

This is a great chance to develop your skill set and work closely with our accountants. You will take sole ownership for the processing of the bank statements, sales ledger function, as well as assisting with the month-end process.

Duties will include:

+ Assist with the daily posting of the company bank statements
+ Fully take responsibility for our sales ledger function
+ Ensure accurate debtors are communicated with the management team
+ Be the first point of contact for our trade customers for any invoice and/or payment queries ensuring that, if needed, queries are passed on to the accountant
+ Reconcile sales ledger reconciliations
+ Reconcile receipts back to monthly credit card statements
+ Assist with the monthly stock take
+ Process retail sales onto the system from the daily cash banking
+ Assist the cashier with clearing any debt from the tills
+ Prepare the month end statement runs according to company standards
+ Work together with the accountants in compiling of both month end and year end management information and statutory accounts
+ Keep up with daily document filing
+ Assist and support the senior management team as and when required

About You:

+ Previous motor trade a benefit but not essential
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
+ IT literate
+ Able to meet monthly deadlines
+ A team player and personable in nature
+ CDK/Drive experience would be desirable but not essential
