Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant Input Clerk to join the team in the accounts department of their Head Office in Halifax. You will be working for a successful worldwide diverse long-established, family-run business.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the accuracy and verification of data input. You do not need Accounts Office experienceas full training of the role will be given, for the right candidate we would consider a trainee with limited work experience. However, you must have meticulous attention to detail, excellent typing skills, knowledge of excel and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely entry of sales data into excel
  • Auditing and verifying the accuracy of the data
  • Diagnosing and resolving data-related issues, such as formatting, input errors or incomplete information
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and files
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure data accuracy
  • Performing regular data backups
  • Raising weekly sales invoices and credits in Sage
  • Updating and issuing weekly self-bills
  • Updating and issuing weekly customer reporting
  • Filing and archiving documents
  • Posting documents weekly
  • Providing cover when required to Input weekly intake to calculate weekly sales

Requirements:

  • Excellent typing and computer skills
  • Experience of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to detect errors
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional: you are reliable and accurate
  • Collaborative: you are a team player and want to work with and support others
  • Diligent: you do your work to the correct standards and procedures.

Salary:

  • £25,000 Per Annum      

Hours:

  • 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (no hybrid)
