About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a full-time position based in Bloxwich. Please note that the company will be relocating to Walsall in February.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clerical tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing office correspondence.
- Maintain and update office records and files.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and catering arrangements.
- Provide general administrative support to the office staff.
- Assist with raising purchase orders, matching delivery notes, and invoices.
- Conduct reconciliations.
- Process purchase orders and raise invoices.
- Handle accounts payable tasks.
- Arrange BACS payments/transfers.
- Manage the allocation of credit card receipts to purchase orders and the online card system.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and chase copies of any missing invoices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier and customer details.
- Data input.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- A high level of integrity and ethical conduct.
