Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper (Payroll)
Basildon, Essex
£27,000 - £30,000 DOE + Paid Overtime + Annual Bonuses

Our client, a reputable and long-standing organisation based in Basildon is currently looking for a highly experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant who has previous experience within Payroll and preferably Pensions, but not essential.

Duties for the Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant

• Day to day methodical organisation and filing of Accounting & Payroll paperwork
• Running Payroll
• Bank reconciliation
• Check and marry delivery notes and invoices to Purchase order paperwork
• Entering purchase invoices onto Sage Accounting and subsequently paying the invoices
• Analysis spreadsheets of some suppliers
• Credit control chasing in overdue payments
• Assisting Admin department with various day to day tasks when needed to cover holidays

The Candidate

• Experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant (5 years minimum) and current user of Sage Accounting and Sage Payroll software
• Payroll and accounts experience
• Fluent use of Word and Excel spreadsheets inc basic formatting and formulas
• Experience of using NEST pension software would be a major advantage
• Car owner / driver due to location
• Flexible to cover various departments as and when required

Hours - 8:30am - 5:30pm
