The Role

The role of Accounts Assistant sits within an experienced team and will report to senior management. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills and a desire to delivery lasting value to their clients. Day to day you will be responsible for

•    Processing invoices and performing bank reconciliations
•    Maintaining client accounting records
•    Preparing VAT returns 
•    Preparing management accounts
•    Preparation of year-end financial statements for a wide variety of businesses
•    Carrying out and reviewing ad hoc tasks such as cash flows, budgets and information for third parties
•    Maintaining relationships with clients and taking ownership of projects and tasks as appropriate
•    Other admin tasks to support the wider team

To be considered for this role you will ideally have:

. Worked in an accounting environment for a minimum of 2-3 years but a commercial background will also be considered.

. Comfortable liaising with clients to further develop opportunities

. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

. The ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines and the demands of the business

. The ability to work confidently with cloud accounting would be an advantage

The role of Accounts Assistant is a great opportunity for a part qualified accountant looking to develop their career in a progressive and growing firm. The role will offer a salary £24,000 - £29,000 plus benefits.
