SalaryAssistant Accountant Leatherhead Salary: 27,000 - 33,000
We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an exciting client of ours who are growing their accounting team. The company are looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their growing team, the role is a varied one and could offer progression to the right candidate.
Role Responsibilities:
- Process Supplier invoices and conduct supplier reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of bank payments and receipts to update the AP & AR ledger.
- Assist with month end tasks and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review financial information proactively identifying any issues and taking corrective action.
- Preparation of WIP billing and projects reports.
- Taking ownership of ad hoc projects designed to promote process improvement.
- Perform Ad Hoc tasks as required.
The Person:
- At least 2+ years of experience in a finance role.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills, solution focused and proactive.
- Experience of using an accounting package (Xero preferable but not essential).
- Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with large data sets and good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Curious and ambitious studying for an accounting qualification.
