Accounts Assistant

Are you an experienced Account's Assistant in search of a new role?

We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our client's team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, possess essential knowledge of accounting software packages, and demonstrate proficiency in various accounting tasks.

Their working hours are 8:30am-4pm and the salary is £28,000 per annum.

Please note: This role will not be starting until the beginning of May.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Purchase and Sales Ledgers:

  • Efficiently manage and maintain accurate records of purchase and sales transactions.

• Manage Payroll:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, adhering to established procedures.

• Assist in Preparation of Monthly Management Reports:

  • Collaborate with the finance team to contribute to the preparation of comprehensive monthly management reports.

• Assist in VAT Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and assist in the preparation and submission of VAT reports.

• Bank Reconciliations:

  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

• Help with Our New Levy System:

  • Play a key role in implementing and managing the new levy system, providing support and expertise as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software packages is essential.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
