We are seeking a detail orientated and organised Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join a busy business based in Helmsley.
The successful candidate will be required to work from their office in Helmsley.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices, verifying transactions, and reconciling statements
- Utilise accounting software (Quickbooks & Xero) to input and track financial data
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
- Assist with payroll processing
Skills:
- Be competent in accounting software such as Quickbooks & Xero
- Ensure that records of all financial transactions, payments to suppliers, expenses, bank reconciliations and cash payments/receipts are accurately inputted and properly maintained in a timely manner to meet internal and external audit requirements
Requirements:
- Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel
- Have Relevant financial qualifications
- Previous experience of Accounts systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Any experience of a rural background would be beneficial
This is an excellent position for the right candidate. There is an option of hybrid working available, once training/probation has been completed.
