Accounts Payable Manager

I am recruiting an immediate start Accounts Payable Manager for a business based in Leicester. This is a role to cover for a period of 5 months with the potential to be extended.

My client is a business based in Leicester;offering great flexible working this is a highly desirable place to work. Due to a recent retirement, my client are looking for an immediate cover for an Accounts Payable Manager for an initial 5 months with the potential to be extended.

Description

The Accounts Payable Manager will report directly to the Purchasing Manager. Duties of the Accounts Payable Manager include but are not limited to:

• Leading the Payments Team and working with key stakeholders to deliver an excellent payments service
• Identifying training requirements within the team
• Being responsible for ensuring that vendor invoices and payments are paid on time and are compliant
• Ensure team daily, weekly and monthly tasks are clearly set out to ensure processing backlogs are for current invoices/ payments
• Ensuring the month end of year end financial close responsibilities are completed

Profile

The successful candidate will:

• Have demonstrated experience working in Accounts Payable
• Have experience using SAP
• Have experience coaching and mentoring a team for high performance
• Have excellent excel skills
• Have excellent organisational and problem solving skills
• Have an ability to interpret high volumes of transactional data
