Reed are acting on behalf of a prestigious fashion retailer in London who are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and has a strong background in finance, particularly within the retail sector.
Day-to-day of the role:- Posting daily customer payments and performing monthly bank reconciliations.
- Handling customer queries and chasing debt as required.
- Raising invoices and sending weekly statements to customers.
- Conducting weekly and monthly aged debtor reconciliations.
- Recording sales receipts accurately.
- Supporting the Management Accountant with month-end processes.
- Completing ad hoc tasks as needed to support the finance team.
- Proficiency in using Sage 50 is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience with strong MS Office Excel skills.
- Good understanding of double-entry journal principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Organised and methodical approach with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Initiative and self-sufficiency, with the ability to seek assistance when necessary.
- Flexibility and willingness to support all team members with various tasks.
