Job Title: Accounts Semi-Senior

Location: Uxbridge (Hybrid)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)

Summary of Position:

Our client, a Chartered Accountancy firm that’s been established for over 30 years, is looking for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their team. The Accounts Semi-Senior will be given a large range of responsibilities and autonomy within the role.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Bookkeeping and VAT returns reviews.
• Preparation of financial statements under FRS102 & FRS105 and assistance with reviewing financial statements prepared by junior team members.
• Preparation of corporation tax computations and review of client’s tax compliance.
• Assistance with reviewing tax computations prepared by junior team members.
• Supporting junior staff members where required, assisting with technical queries and the use of accounting and corporation tax software.
• General contact with clients, advising and reviewing any problem areas and proposing the best way forward for the client’s business.
• Consulting with clients where relevant and assisting with the set up of and training on accounting software.

Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Results-driven, with excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Good knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.
• Works well both in a team and independently.
• Experience using Xero, Sage and QuickBooks would be ideal, but not essential.
• Would be suitable for applicants who are ACCA or ACA-qualified with relevant work experience.
