We are seeking an Acting Senior Support Worker to work within 2 of our supported living services in Linthorpe. At our vibrant supported living services, we provide quality care and support to individuals who have a learning disabilities and mental health needs. You must be warm, caring and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that the people we support enjoy a fantastic quality of life. Your Senior Support Worker role will be interesting and varied and will include support to enjoy a wide range of community activities.
Senior Support Worker Duties:
• To ensure that all of our service users receive high quality, individualised, person-centred support,
• To provide mentorship; support; guidance for the staff team working within the service,
• To develop warm and trusting relationships with clients and to encourage them to express their needs, views and concerns,
• Support the management of service delivery, effectively meeting the needs of the clients.
You will be required to work in a flexible manner which may include working evenings, weekends, waking nights and sleep in’s.
Previous experience of providing care and support to people with learning disabilities and mental health needs is essential. We expect our Senior Support workers to be working towards or willing to work towards a role specific qualification.
