An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Information Access Unit in the Information Management Branch for a Part time Information Access Assistant, who will provide administrative services to the Unit, ensuring Compliance with relevant Data protection legislation. The post is for 11.75hrs per week, which could easily be worked over 2 or 3 days which can be discussed and agreed with applicants at interview. Working days must include Wednesday and Friday to provide cover in the Unit.
The successful candidate should have a basic knowledge of Data protection legislation and will be required to perform such duties as answering incoming calls, reviewing and responding to emails and locating and retrieving information from local and national systems to assist in the processing of Information Access requests. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated and ambitious, with good communication skills and attention to detail and be able to work on a number of tasks simultaneously, managing broad and divergent workload.
The post will be based at GMP Force Headquarters with a combination of remote working and office-based attendance available subject to completion of the probationary period

What is the Residency Criteria?
