Job description
The post holder will contribute to the administrative function of the Unit and actively assist the multi-professional team in the provision of a quality service and will be required to liaise with the clinical team, admin teams, general practitioners, and the general public.
The post holder will need to exercise initiative, independent judgment and decision making with situations arising from duties described. They will need to be able to keep excellent records and be organised.
The post holder will take ultimate responsibility for the management of nominated waiting list ensuring that the Trust Patient Access Policy is adhered to at all times.
To have an understanding of waiting lists to provide cover when band 4 on leave
To adhere to the Trust Patient Access Policy at all times
To use as required all menus and procedures with regard to Careflow
To assist with all tasks associated with appointments for patients attending the Pain Management outpatients and group sessions from the day they are entered onto the waiting list through to the day of appointment.
To assist that clinic slots are fully utilised.
To respond to all telephone enquiries, referring to wider multi-disciplinary team where appropriate.
The Chronic Fatigue Service Admin team is a small team based in The Lodge, Cossham hospital. The team provides all administrative support for the running of the Chronic Fatigue Service , working closely with the clinicians.
To have an understanding of waiting lists to provide cover when band 4 on leave

To ensure that the Lead administrator is made aware of any instances when the Policy cannot be adhered to.

To provide support to admin colleagues as appropriate
To ensure that records are kept accurately and assist with statistical information collection as and when required.
To assist the lead administrator with a range of administrative and clerical duties.
To be fully aware of the Trust Complaints Procedure.
To receive patients, relatives, and visitors into the department if necessary
