Job description
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant for as soon as possible for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £15.02/hour PAYE. This role will be hybrid based with working from home and on site.
Responsibilities:
- Assess applications for eligibility for both Mortgage to Rent and Mortgage To Shared Equity;
- Effectively manage any time sensitive eviction cases which have been flagged as priority.
- Respond promptly to other escalated cases.
- Manage and progress cases based on evidence provided and prepare offer letters.
- Ensure that all casework meets HOSF quality standards by ensuring systems are fully updated and accurate and that all key documents are saved within the HOSF secure area within eRDM;
- Process HOSF payment requests, state for settlement, subsidy and abortive costs timeously.
- Prepare payment requests for authorisation by B3 HOSF Programme Manager or Housing and Independent Living Team Leader within delegated authority limits
- Prepare submissions for decision by B3 HOSF programme manager for cases on disability eligibility grounds.
- Contribute to routine MiCases;
- Provide appropriate cover for colleagues during leave, ensuring emails & telephone calls are dealt with.
Essential Skills:
- We are looking for an organised and friendly team member who has excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, who would be confident liaising with money advisers, social landlords, money lenders and scheme solicitors.
- The ability to multi-task, adapt and react quickly to urgent issues and deal with a broad range of administrative and casework tasks is essential.
