Job summary

Our Mechanical Engineering Services (MES) team provide safe and economic repair and
maintenance of all FLS vehicles, machinery and fleet equipment (VME). We cover the whole of
Scotland, operating three workshop areas – North, South and Mid-Scotland.
This vacancy is based at Bladnoch Bridge Workshop within the South Scotland area, you will
work as part of the Mechanical Engineering Team who provide equipment support to the South
Region’s assets ranging from the Isle of Arran to Selkirk.

enabling the workshop to provide a professional and cost effective service - supporting FLS to
achieve its aims.
Person specification
Essential:
- Proven record of providing administrative support to a range of stakeholders
- Working effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work unsupervised, successfully managing own workload and priorities to
- Competent user of Microsoft Office packages to an intermediate level, in particular
- Working knowledge of updating, maintaining and interrogating databases
- Knowledge of financial software packages for invoicing
- Knowledge of Scottish Government procurement regulations and processes
