We are looking for a well-organised, bubbly and enthusiastic person to support our SENDCo and the running of the busy school office. Experience of working in a busy office environment is essential.
We are looking for somebody who will be approachable and friendly, with strong communication skills over a variety of mediums, together with a good level of IT competence.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with children and will come to work with a smile on their face and a positive attitude. Candidates must have both mathematics and English at GCSE Grade C/Grade 4 level. They must also be prepared to undertake first aid training.
This role is for 30 hours per week and will be split as below
2 days finance/general office support
- 2 days SEN Support
- 1-day main reception cover (Wednesday)
Hours are
Monday & Friday 8.30am – 13.30pm
Tuesday & Thursday 8.30am – 15.45pm
Wednesday 8.15am – 16.45pm
Key responsibilities
Finance Support as needed
- Raising of purchase orders
- Ensuring payment of invoices
- Invoice/purchase order enquiries
- Booking trips/transport
- Chasing dinner money on a weekly basis
- Chasing trips/music tuition as when needed
- Preparation/completion and processing of banking on a weekly basis
SEN
- Assisting the SENDCo as required
- Transferring notes to CPOMS
- Filing
- Admin/ evidence prep for EHCP reviews
- Managing diary
Main reception
- To answer the telephone and deal with any queries
- To prepare the dinner numbers each day for the kitchen team
- To chase any missing attendance marks and absent children
- To ensure that money is paid onto Arbor where necessary
- To open and distribute the post/packages and to prepare the post at the end of each day
- Putting out the Courier bag each Monday/Wednesday
- To send out Arbor communications as required
- To create Microsoft forms as required
- Administering first aid to children as required
- Archiving of records according to the retention schedule
- Management of 2nd hand uniform
