Berry Recruitment are currently sourcing an administrator to help in the operation services department of local government based in Bideford. This position is applicable to candidate who have experience of working as an administrator as this role incorporates a lot of an administrator's traditional responsibilities.
This position is that of an Operational Services Support Officer and will be working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday and will be paying £12.75 p/h.
In the role of an Operational Services Support Officer, you will have the following tasks:
- Dealing with customer enquiries via phone, email and mail, logging any customer issues on the in-house computer system.
- Responding to enquiries/complaints with updates giving regard to public safety.
- Prepare documents for other operational staff.
- Manage and validate fuel receipts and update drivers' hours records.
- Process and raise invoices using TDC e-financial and update logs and deal with petty cash.
- Update waste management web pages.
- General administration duties such as copying, typing letters, filing and taking minutes.
To be the successful candidate for the Administrator position you should be able to demonstrate a good background in administration and have excellent communications skills. Ideally you will have worked within a busy office environment in the past.
