Job Title: Senior Clinical Coding Officer Lead

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 6 Months

Location: This position offers remote working but you must live within a commuting distance to Darlington.

Working Hours: 37.5 hour per week, Monday to Friday

Hourly Rate: Up to 13.84ph

The post-holder will be responsible for coding a more complex case-load within the coding department by analysing, abstracting highly complex and highly confidential information from the patients electronic clinical record, translating and aggregating into ICD (Diagnosis) and OPCS (Procedural) codes ensuring accuracy conforms to National standards in a timely manner to all Inpatient/Daycase activity via the Trusts Pas and Coding system to meet commissioner deadlines.

The post involves liaising with clinicians and clinical teams on a regular basis to verify data recorded in the patient's electronic record and on the Trusts PAS system. Communicating complex coding rules to Clinical Coding staff and all healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Training:

• National Clinical Coding Qualification
• Clinical Coding Standards Course Certification
• A level or equivalent
• Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology
