All year round or Term Time only + days
Full term time permanent position
Carr Manor Community School (CMCS) is an all-through school at an exciting phase of expansion and development across both our primary and secondary phases. We are proud of our caring and inclusive reputation and have a strong team of professionals committed to developing and delivering a broad curriculum to children aged 4-19.
We are one of the founding partners of the Leeds Learning Alliance and we are looking forward to further developing our partnerships over the forthcoming months and years.
We are now looking to appoint an Administrator who has the tenacity, skills and flexibility to work in a fast-moving environment and enhance our busy support teams.
The successful candidate will have Maths and English GCSE, grade C (5) or above (or equivalent), strong IT skills, well developed organisational and communication skills and a basic understanding of child development and learning strategies. The ability to utilise the full range of Microsoft applications and have a good understanding of school systems and procedures, including SIMS, would be preferable. The postholder will be expected to undertake a wide range of duties including: pupil and visitor reception; minute taking; preparing complex correspondence and mailshots and other key documentation for parents/carers; assisting in the co-ordination and delivery of school projects; supporting the collation and preparation of data and other management information; and supporting the implementation of whole school strategies, our Coaching programme and House system, after school clubs, further and flexible learning and invigilation duties, cover for colleagues in the Reception/General Office area.
It is essential that the post-holder shares our school’s ethos, which is firmly rooted in a restorative approach and the following values: to ‘Know our children well’: to be ‘Partners in Learning’: to develop ‘Character for Learning’; to ‘Enjoy and Achieve’. We firmly believe that in order to move forwards we need to be prepared and able to ‘do things differently and do different things’. We work restoratively with pupils, families and with each other, to maintain the ‘strong community culture' that Ofsted recognised when they visited us in July 2018.
We significantly invest in the development and training of all colleagues who are equally happy to share their expertise, skills and knowledge across the organisation. If you are looking to be stretched and challenged within a positive and creative staff team and you have a genuine desire to make a positive difference to our children, please submit an application form, covering letter and CV to hrrecruitment@carrmanor.org.uk by noon on Monday 8th July 2024. For further details about the role, please phone us on 0113 3368400 or visit www.carrmanor.org.uk/vacancies, where you will find our privacy notice, which is applicable for all job applicants.
We promote diversity and want a workforce which reflects the population of Leeds. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful applications will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check and satisfactory references.
"The relationships between staff and pupils are extremely positive. Pupils wear their uniform with pride and are respectful to each other and staff. There is a calm and purposeful atmosphere in the school." (Ofsted, July 2018)
