Role: NHS Private Care Administrator
Type: Temporary
Location: Stanmore
Hours: 35 hours a week (3-5 days)
Pay: £13.65ph - £14.00ph DOE
This temporary role offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the efficient running of clinics, bookings and patient journey.
What you will do:
- Manage outpatient bookings and administration, ensuring accurate information capture across relevant systems.
- Provide administrative support and manage the patient registration process during outpatient clinics.
- Coordinate radiology and follow-up appointments for outpatients, ensuring a smooth patient experience.
- Oversee inpatient and day case bookings, liaising with relevant teams and ensuring pre-authorisations are secured.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of service standards for the Private Care booking function.
- Act as a key point of contact for consultants, medical secretaries and patients, providing exceptional customer service.
- Utilise a variety of communication methods to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and contribute to the implementation of new processes.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and provide cover for colleagues during absences.
What you will bring:
- A Business or administration relevant degree or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in an administrative role within the health care sector (desirable).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new systems.
- A positive and enthusiastic approach with a commitment to continuous professional development.
