Admissions Systems, Records and Qualifications Manager

Job Description This exciting new role within the Admissions function has a key focus on creating, developing and maintaining reliable and accurate student records. The Admissions Systems, Records and Qualifications Manager will be responsible for leading continual improvement of Admissions systems and driving the improvement of processes and applicant data. About the Role The post holder’s key responsibilities will include creating, evolving and implementing robust processes to ensure the accuracy of applicant records leading to high quality student records. Working closely with colleagues in key services, the postholder will identify opportunities for optimisation of current Admissions Systems, including SITS, to drive improvements in the applicant experience to pre-empt a changing applicant landscape.    In addition, the post holder will provide expert advice to colleagues throughout the University on qualification suitability for entry to university programmes, delivered both at our own sites and across our partnership provision. They will also identify and implement opportunities, including working with external bodies, to improve, strengthen and streamline processes for the verification of external qualifications. This key role forms part of a centralised Admissions Team, who collectively, are responsible for processing all applications to the University including, undergraduate, postgraduate, home and international, and those courses delivered by our growing partnership activity and franchises in other locations. About You The successful candidate will have experience of working with a complex data-base in a data-intensive team working to improve data quality, extraction, reporting and consistency.  You will have an understanding of the current UK Higher Education environment and the student journey. With excellent organisational and communication skills, the successful candidate will be numerate, confident in data management and be able to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Demonstrable ability to self-coordinate workload and to work successfully across teams in a complex organisation is essential.
