Autism Anglia is a well-established independent Charity. We have an exciting opportunity available for an Operations Manager on a fixed term contract of 3 months on a full-time basis. The successful Operations Manager will work closely with the Adult Services Director to ensure an integrated, quality service. As a member of the Management Team, the Operations Manager will assist the Senior Leadership Team in supervising and supporting staff in positive behaviour and good working practice. This role is well suited to a manager with experience working in the Healthcare sector who can offer strong knowledge and proven leadership skills. Experience working with Autism and Learning Disabilities is essential. Adult servicesAutism Anglia’s Adult Services provide specialist support to adults aged 18 onwards across Residential, Supported Living, Outreach programmes and opportunity centres. Providing support to those within the autism Spectrum some with additional Learning Disabilities. Our holistic approach encourages adults to develop new skills, create opportunities and build confidence to live more independently in the community. The role: Reporting directly to and supporting the Director of Adult Services in the day-to-day operational and strategic management of the division.Leading and positively influencing the managers and staff to ensure exceptional care and safe running of services.The Operations Manager will work flexibly across East Anglia in areas where Autism Anglia delivers Adult Services to ensure a consistent approach, including shared working between Area Managers.In conjunction with the Director of Adult Services the Operations Manager will evaluate and enhance the services, working towards the development of Adult Services provisions and overseeing these new provisions on completion.Working in close partnership and in conjunction with the other Area Manager to oversee an area of focus including; residential, supported living, outreach services and Opportunity CentreEffectively lead, manage, develop and review the performance of Managers within Adult Services, ensuring that staff supervision and appraisal is undertaken in accordance with performance management systems in place. Identify skill gaps or training needs as appropriate.To keep up to date with relevant legislation, regulation and statutory guidance which will inform Adult Services in adhering to set standards.As part of the management team, you will provide effective leadership and management to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, safe and person-centred serviceWork with the teams to promote a culture of continuous improvements and reflective practice with an emphasis on communication and teamworkBuild effective relationships at all levels, ensuring cross-working with other services to foster best practices, consistency and focus on evidence-based planning and outcomes Oversee regular review and updates of documentation including risk assessments, support plans, MCA, safeguarding and DOLS, ensuring a countersignature is in place and any concerns are raised with the Registered Manager Applications are welcome from Deputy Managers with the following: Hold or are working towards a Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 4 or 5Hold or are working towards your Management and Leadership QualificationPrevious experience working in the capacity of Registered or Operations manager with people management experience Offer knowledge and understanding of working with autistic people or individuals with a learning disabilityExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion and resilience to lead manage, support and motivate staffIt is essential that the successful applicant holds a full driving licence.To Apply If you have what it takes to lead, manage and improve the effectiveness of service delivery apply today.
