Key Accountabilities
- To manage and support Supervisors and Officers in the smooth running and development of their teams and workload. This will include regular team meetings, 1:1’s with staff and working closely to achieve service related goals.
- To promote and implement support and guidance by working with colleagues to identify and deliver new initiatives which support the Council’s vision. Ensure that project teams are focused on the need to deliver solutions that satisfy or exceed business expectations and may require ‘out of the box’ thinking to deliver truly innovative working methods that will make a difference.
- Ensure compliance with, and the timely completion of, legal processes and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- To be responsible and accountable for the waste minimisation and recycling, and the infrastructure/assets functions within the service. This will include service planning and implementation, management of the governance process, and preparation of management information / reports to Senior Management Team (SMT), Management Board and Members.
- To be responsible and accountable for the Business Support team to ensure all relevant legislation and processes are being adhered to and to streamline processes where necessary.
- To take a lead role in managing the project updates to the corporate project monitoring system, Pentana, in a timely manner.
- To take responsible for preparing performance reports to present to SMT.
- To take the lead on statistical and process benchmarking and soft market testing of services to enable meaningful comparisons to be made against other service providers in terms of both costs and performance.
- Assist with the delivery of the Traffic Regulation (TRO) function in liaison with the North Essex Parking Partnership.
