Uniserve, is seeking an Air Freight Import Operations Supervisor, to play an integral part of our Import Operations, to work collaboratively, with the department manager to achieve efficient and cost-effective operations, empowering your team to excel in their roles.
Responsibilities:
- System Utilisation: Ensure correct utilisation of in-house operating systems for seamless shipment execution, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting and financial processes.
- Credit Control: Implement and uphold the company's credit control policy, contributing to financial integrity.
- Operating Procedures: Understand and adhere to specific customer-agreed operating procedures to meet and exceed expectations.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators with specific clients, collaborating with internal teams, overseas partners, and suppliers to ensure adherence.
- Customer Care: Deliver excellent customer care, actively listening to customers to manage and exceed their expectations.
- Customer Review Meetings: Participate in customer review meetings as required, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Profitability Analysis: Review the profitability of each client at the booking level, questioning costs when applicable, and promptly raising concerns to your line manager.
- Communication and Organisation: Demonstrate organisation and clear communication within your team and with internal/external service providers.
- Team Management: Effectively manage, motivate, and develop team members, ensuring adherence to company values.
- Promotion of Services: Promote The Group's services through your actions and communication at every opportunity.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory body requirements, including IATA, CAA, and HM Revenue & Customs.
Essential Skills:
- 5 years min Air Import key account experience,
- Experience & capability of working with / handling a small team.
- Strong understanding of Air Freight operations.
- Proven experience in team management and development.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with financial and accounting processes.
- Ability to interpret and execute customer-agreed operating procedures.
- Proficiency in monitoring and meeting key performance indicators.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer care.
- Analytical mindset for profitability analysis.
- Adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements.
