The role will develop new API on the Apigee Edge platform & play a crucial role in the design, development, implementation, integration & maintenance of various & complex API solutions using Apigee Edge.

Purpose: Design, develop, implement, integrate & maintain complex API solutions using Apigee Edge to ensure seamless integration & communication between different systems, applications & services whilst maintaining operational management & security of the platform.

Overview:
The role will provide a robust technical resource to support the build & delivery of effective API Gateway solutions on the Apigee Edge platform.
You will play a critical role in the design, development, implementation, integration & maintenance of various & complex API solutions.
Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including other developers, architects, software engineers, Product owners & the QA team, you will help design, build & maintain Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), which serve as the vital communication channels allowing different software systems to interact seamlessly.
You can also expect to be involved in the selection & integration of new API integration platforms.

, Design, develop & implement secure RESTful APIs using Apigee Edge
, Collaborate with solution architects & development teams to create scalable & secure API solutions
, Write reusable, testable & efficient code in line with best practices
, Configure & customise Apigee Edge policies, proxies, & components
, Implement security measures & authentication mechanisms to protect APIs
, Integrate APIs seamlessly into various applications
, Troubleshoot integration issues to ensure smooth communication between systems
, Implement monitoring & logging solutions to track API performance & optimise efficiency
, Assess & implement optimisations to enhance the overall API ecosystem
, Document APIs, including specifications, usage guidelines, & troubleshooting procedures
, Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, software engineers, architects, QA, & business stakeholders.
Candidate Profile:
Candidates should possess similar firsthand experience in API Gateway Development.
