• Understand and contribute to the development of Cancer Services Applications, Diagnostics (in relation to iClip), and iClip solution architecture.

1. You will understand and contribute to the development of IDT Applications solution architecture with a focus on linking the Cancer Services, Cerner iClip in relation to Diagnostics, technical architectures between iClip and other systems, but not limited to these.

You will develop all technical documentation such as system high-level and low-level design, collaborating with internal technical and external teams to develop and agree these, including any plans for the way forward. You will engage with other technical experts as needed.

The IDT department manages the Trust’s IDT systems, infrastructure and Informatics services enabling the electronic filing, printing and sharing of both clinical and non-clinical information. It also provides support to manage the systems and services which includes: Service Desk; IT training; break-fix; application development, acquisition and support for all the supported Trust IT services. The IDT department is also responsible for Information Governance.
1. You will apply your application knowledge and expertise to proactively manage and support customers’ requirements. Including, but not limited to, information and advice on changes to the application, design, support, national and local standards, application solutions for clinical workflow and clinical care and testing of applications.
2. You will develop and maintain your own analytical skills employing these to aid Trust decision making processes.
3. You will use your professional skills to work efficiently and cooperatively to meet customers’ information needs through the provision of regular reports, updates on the department incident and change management system, advice and ad hoc analyses.
4. Analytical & Judgement Skills
• You will provide expertise and analysis skills for the build and support of the Cancer Services, and Cerner iClip in relation to Cancer and Diagnostics modules/system/s in your area of expertise.
• You will support your manager to ensure key performance indicators are achieved.
• You will provide analysis and interpretation and resolution of simple and complex application-related problems.
• You will support requests for expert advice and change and support appropriately within the team.
• You will ensure a customer-focussed and resilient service.
5. Policy & Service Development Implementation
• You will support the provision a structured change management approach and methodology for the impact of any change is applied at all times.
• You will support the development of policies and procedures related to applications which will impact across the whole organisation.
• You will support the implementation of policies for applications as part of the team
6. You will support the link in with the patient journey for workflows. You will have a thorough understanding of the applications within your remit, how they relate to the patient journey and workflows, and to be able to offer support to optimise the applications as well as improve the use of these applications, engaging suppliers as needed
