Duties and Responsibilities Include
Conducting analysis of data
Learn to analyse data across the company, and to produce and present to various departments in the business weekly.
Use tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel to analyse and visualise data and to create automation of reports where possible.
Create transparent and easily readable reports about company and individual performance.
Update datasets for board packs based on operational and financial performance.
Help to create reports for clients when required.
Tasks include : Updating of Weekly KPI Performance Pack (as required), Regularly maintaining dataset quality, updating and publishing Call Statistics
Auditing Data Quality
Frequently auditing the quality of recorded data across the business.
Suggest and implement improvements in data recording where necessary.
Highlight frequent data recording errors to the attention of the management team to then address and fix.
Tasks include: Auditing key data recording problem areas i.e. weekly placements reports to minimise use of old placement resulting in overpayments.
Creation and Developing the Automation of Reports and Performance Outputs
Use knowledge of reporting tools to update reports for all areas of business.
Assist the team in building and maintenance of various reports, concerning all parts of the business.
Monitor performance of Power BI workspaces and fix issues arising from datasets and dataflows as they arise.
Tasks Include: Maintaining PowerBI data gateways, Creation of new automated reports via PowerBI
Monitoring KPI's
Work alongside wider Data Analytics Team and team leaders to record, report on, and update KPI reports.
Create and distribute daily/ weekly/ monthly reports to help teams achieve their KPI's.
Tasks Include: Updating of new KPI reports, distribution of weekly reports to sales teams such as phone times, intime closure reports, candidate contact reports, helping to monitor for problems in dataset updates.
Essential Criteria
Interest in data, visualisation, and ambition to improve skills.
Critical Thinking skills.
Analytical skills, including attention to detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, or other analytical tools.
Fundamental understanding of visualisation tools (graphs).
Willingness to continue studies into L2/ L3 and beyond Apprenticeships.
Desirable Criteria
Strong Math Skills.
Experience of database technology such as MS Access, SSMS, SQL Server.
An awareness or knowledge of industry-specific data sets.
Qualifications in maths, statistics, computer science or related field and/ or L2 Data Technician or greater.
