Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Waste and ESG data analyst to join our passionate and driven Cleaning team based at our client’s site in Ipswich.
This role covers the OCS Group in the UK & Ireland, reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager UK & Ireland.
The Waste and ESG data analyst has primary responsibility for the co-ordination of ESG data and waste management across the business. The role will work with stakeholders internally (e.g Finance, Procurement and Estates) and externally (e.g CDP) to ensure all aspects of ESG reporting is best in class.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional
- Assist and co-ordinate the collection and assurance process of ESG data, working alongside multiple teams and functions across the business to ensure ESG data is consistent, robust and accurate.
- Ensure compliance with Waste and packaging regulations for the Group, e.g EPR
- Support bids and customers on waste related matters
- Conduct regular horizon scanning of upcoming regulations and initiatives related to ESG and the facilities management industry.
- Benchmarking and gap analyses of peer and industry leaders in relation to ESG.
- Support wider initiatives and networks across the group engaging in ESG related activities, working with internal stakeholder groups and liaising with external parties.

- Avoid conflict of interests between personal interests and the interests of the UK & Ireland group.
- Exercise independent judgment, reasonable care, skill and diligence when carrying out their duties.
- Act in good faith and promote the long-term success of each company within the UK & Ireland group for the benefit of all members and wider stakeholders.
- Adhere to and promote the UK & Ireland group’s policies on equality & diversity, information security, health and safety and data protection in the performance of their duties and the management of the departmental function reporting into them.
- Support and promote the UK & Ireland group’s sustainability plans and policies, including the Carbon Management Plan, and carry out duties in a resource effective way, recognizing the shared responsibility of minimizing negative environmental impacts wherever possible.
About You:
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
Necessary
- Experience in ESG reporting/data management (including energy, carbon and waste)
- Experience with waste management and regulations
- Understanding and experience of frameworks and regulations such as of GHG protocol and SECR
- Excellent communicator, with proven stakeholder management skills and ability to influence at all levels.
- Proficiency with MS Excel
Desirable
- Experience with voluntary reporting initiatives such as CDP and Ecovadis
- Applicants with qualifications in Sustainability/ESG
