SalaryAn exciting opportunity to gain a childcare qualification whilst working in nursery aged children from 0-5yrs.
Key responsibilities for this job:
To provide consistently high quality child care.
To contribute to the planning of fun, stimulating, stage appropriate activities, considering individual needs.
To develop good relationships with colleagues, children and parents.
To monitor the effectiveness of activities and monitor children's development.
To work within the requirements of Appletree Nursery's policies and procedures and ensure their operation.
To be flexible and take on extra duties if necessary.
To maintain equipment, making sure it's cleaned regularly.
To be aware of cultural differences and provide cultural play opportunities for children.
To attend staff meetings, supervisions and team building sessions.
To contribute to health and safety risk assessments and ensure that where ever possible the methods of control are being practiced.
To ensure hygiene procedures are followed and kept at high standard
Knowledge and experience required:
Must have some knowledge of child development, equal opportunities and child protection.
Must have good communication skills.
Must be willing to work towards level 2 qualification.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Apprenticeship
Contract length: 18 months
Pay: £6.40 per hour
