Spring Carousel is a 49-place nursery that offers affordable, high-quality childcare in Braintree, Essex for children from 0-months to 5-years. At Spring Carousel, the team ensure children feel happy and settled, offering a huge variety of activities, opportunities to grow and socialise. The nursery offers a sensory room, and a spacious garden that backs on to a large playing field and big playground as well as a nature garden which the centre kindly allows us to use where the children can explore nature and have access to a lovely frog's pond.
We provide fun and stimulating activities for all children to learn and explore through their environment. We pride ourselves on inclusion and have staff trained in Autism level 2 and 2 Staff trained in PANCO where they have implemented fun physical activities like yoga. We have a train link close by for easy travel for parents to access for work.
In the role of Apprentice, you will be;
Working alongside nursery practitioners in supporting children's development, participating, planning and setting up activities for a range of children.
Developing successful relationships with children and their families.
Observing and track children's development and share this with parent/carers and other professionals.
Supporting children during mealtimes and toilet training.
Attending monthly staff meetings and 6 monthly parents/carers evenings.
Completing an apprenticeship to gain your childcare qualification, working within the setting to support the completion of your coursework and studies.

Our successful candidate will have an enthusiastic and pro-active mindset with a positive attitude and have the ability to form strong and supportive relationships with parents, children and the team. Our Job Description outlines the requirements of the role, but the 'must haves' are:
A genuine interest in childcare & a true passion for children
Patience, a friendly manner, and the ability to communicate with children, young people, colleagues and other adults such as parents and carers.
A commitment to study time to help you achieve your qualification.
