Area Manager – Copper -

Due to MJ Quinn recently being awarded a new contract, we are excited to announce we are actively seeking Area Manager – Copper Provision in the Service Delivery department. The position will be covering Thamesway and Solent (Wessex), field based travelling to required sites in the area.

Salary- £37,000

Working Hours- Between 8:00am- 20:00pm (Monday- Friday)

As the Area Manager, you will be responsible for a team of engineers providing leadership, support, direction, and feedback for their role. Managing the local area ensuring Service Delivery targets are achieved.

Your role will include:

• Managing the team within budget constraints and seeks every opportunity to reduce cost and maximise bottom line revenue growth.
• Ensure all team members are skilled, kitted and accredited to the standards expected by the client.
• Manages the performance and the continuous improvement of team members through development, recognition, effective communications, field visits and FPQ checks.
• Ensures that each team member is aware of the team, their individual targets and is committed to playing a full part in achieving them.

Technical Expertise & Service Delivery

• Identifies opportunities for multi skilling and cross project working on the patch to help deliver the most efficient and effective field structure across MJ Quinn.
• Seeks every opportunity to reduce cost and maximise bottom line revenue growth.
• Ensures safety and quality checks are carried out in accordance with MJ Quinn policy.

Internal/ External Partnerships

• Develops and sustains a strong working relationship with the client’s local operational teams encouraging collaboration and best practice.
• Works closely with the Operational Support Teams to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Attends operational review meetings with clients and General Managers as required.

Experience

• Understanding and experience of the Openreach telecommunications network
• Managerial experience in a similar role (Telecommunications industry) is desirable
• Holding a full clean UK driving license
• Computer literate
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Willing to Undertake relevant training and development

Desirables:

• Telecoms experience
• Managerial/supervisor experience
• Knowledge of the BT network
• Understanding of the Fibre network
• Full UK drivers license
