As the Area Sales Manager you will play a leading role in driving our expansion initiatives within the dynamic landscape of the UK travel industry. We are actively searching for an energetic and strategic individual who can not only spearhead sales growth but also excel in fostering long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with travel agents. No two days are the same, however in this dynamic environment you'll find support from teammates, both locally in the UK and globally. Together, we are all dedicated to the common goal of delivering outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute strategies to increase sales of TTC Tour Brands, inc Contiki, Costsaver, Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, and Trafalgar, specifically targeting homeworking agents across the UK.
- Develop a considered and targeted call plan that focuses on high potential travel agents
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing homeworkers to ensure repeat business and growth opportunities.
- Establish ways to cultivate relationships, build trust, enhance brand awareness, and drive sales through travel agents
- Focus on increasing sales revenue and creating awareness of TTC Tour Brands through effective communication and product knowledge sharing.
- Conduct agent training sessions, client presentations, and product information sessions to educate/excite travel agents about TTC Tour Brands.
- Effectively introduce new products and updates to keep agents informed and engaged.
- Organise and host regular events, both virtual and in person
- Attend relevant trade shows, conferences, FAM Trips and industry events to represent TTC Tour Brandsand build brand visibility.
- Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate sales reports, including sales activities, trends, and performance indicators.
- Use reports to measure progress against sales targets and objectives.
- Stay updated on competitor activities and market trends within the travel industry.
- Provide regular feedback to the Director of Sales regarding market trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Share valuable market information relevant to the business's growth and positioning.
- Actively search for and cultivate new business development opportunities
- Be flexible and adaptable to take on other duties and assignments as needed to support the overall success of the sales team and business goals.
- Attend monthly Sales Meetings to plan targeted activity in your area to raise awareness and knowledge of TTC Tour Brands and maximise sales.
Skills &Experience
- Experience in a sales role, and in the travel industry working in travel agencies .
- A proven record of achieving high-growth revenue targets.
- Success in being a team player.
- Experience managing a large agency portfolio and achieving performance improvement from your actions.
- Proven track record as a Sales Manager within the Travel Trade, preferably within the UK.
- Excellent knowledge of Office 365 - proficient in PowerPoint and presenting.
Travel &Other Requirements
- Must be able to travel nationally on a regular basis and occasionally internationally as required. Valid clean UK driver’s license .
