The Client
Our client is a prominent wood processing company, providing a comprehensive range of sawn softwood products, catering to construction, pallet, fencing, and packaging sectors.
The Role:
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be reporting to the Head of Group Sales engage with an existing customer base while actively seeking new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage accounts, fostering strong, enduring relationships with key clients and Buying Groups.
* Exceed annual sales targets and milestones, demonstrating commitment to personal and company success.
* Display a keen aptitude for territory growth, leadership, and effective sales management.
* Ensure meticulous maintenance of the sales process and CRM, emphasising customer service excellence.
* Leverage strong journey planning and account management skills.
Requirements:
* Previously worked as a Sales Manager or in a similar role.
* Background in selling timber or building products.
* Proven experience in Area Sales Management.
* Familiarity with catering to both national, independent merchants and buying groups.
* Expertise in strong journey planning and account management.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all organisational levels, including Directors.
