Role: Area Sales Manager / Representative - Business Development Manager
Location: An external role covering the North West

Salary: £28 - £36K Basic plus bonus plus car - Weekdays Only!
We are recruiting a professional sales individual within the fabrics / textiles supplies sector. This Area Sales role offers an excellent opportunity to make a real name for yourself within this highly successful, family owned fabric supply company. You will be representing this business in an external capacity, dealing with the current customer base as well a strong focus on developing new business along the way.
Our client is highly regarded within the world of fabrics and textiles. They sell into merchants and shops who sell fabrics but they also supply firms who make curtains, blinds and furniture etc. Their range of products is enviable and they constantly keep in touch with the latest trends to ensure demand from the end user. This is an international business that supplies larger companies who are household names and also smaller businesses too - every customer is important to them and it is vital that they continue to get the high level of service they have become used to when dealing with this company.
The areas covered by the successful candidate will be from Cumbria, down to the West Midlands and everywhere in between, with some of North Wales included too. You will have the autonomy to plan your own day but obviously everyone will have to be visited within a certain time frame.
They need to find someone special who will go the extra mile, be happy to help and understand how to generate income for the company. Asking questions, finding out about the needs the clients have, taking quotation enquiries, developing rapport with people and upselling where possible. You will need to be able to think on your feet and demonstrate strong knowledge of fabrics (once learnt) when called upon.
Therefore, this role requires someone with demonstrable sales experience (preferably external but that's not essential) and ideally knowledge of fabrics and / or home furnishings. You must be confident talking to people, understanding their needs and acting on this to provide sterling service to the customer. Attention to detail is also key with a methodical approach.
