My Client is a leading Asbestos Contractor established over 30 yrs. ago, operating across the commercial & industrial sector.
They are currently seeking an Asbestos Analyst to be based at their Chelmsford office, working across projects in Essex and Central London
Asbestos Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of buildings, structures, and materials to assess the presence of asbestos.
- Collect samples of suspected asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Perform laboratory analysis on collected samples to determine the concentration and type of asbestos fibres present.
- Interpret laboratory results accurately and prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with asbestos regulations and guidelines.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on asbestos management strategies, including abatement and remediation procedures.
- Stay informed about updates to asbestos regulations, industry best practices, and emerging technologies related to asbestos detection and management.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, sample collections, laboratory analyses, and correspondence.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in asbestos identification and analysis.
Asbestos Analyst
Qualifications & Experience
- Asbestos analysts are required to be qualified by BOHS to the P403 and P404 technical modules or the RSPH Level 3 Certificate in Air Monitoring and Clearance Procedures and they perform their work in accordance with HSG248 'Asbestos:
- Previous experience working within the asbestos industry.
- The candidate will need to have an in depth knowledge with the asbestos Health & Safety procedures.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package and TEAMS experience is preferable.
Salary
The salary on offer for this role is 33k- 38k+package,depending upon previous experience.
