SalaryAssembly Technician required for my client based in Stevenage who worked within the automated solutions of the engineering industry.
The successful Assembly Technician will be using a variety of tools and equipment, working across various areas of the company's production on both automated and automated product lines.
Assembly Technician Position Overview
- Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble products.
- Understanding of shading, cutting and measuring diagrams.
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring and motors.
- Maintain inventory of product and parts in work stations.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
- Reporting to the department team lead and operations director.
Assembly Technician Position Requirements
- Experience working in an Assembly Technician and mechanical technician role.
- Experience of shading, measuring, cutting and diagrams is beneficial.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools.
- Enthusiasm and interest in engineering and manufacturing.
- Knowledge of materials, ability to distinguish types.
- Previous experience in manufacturing/ engineering environment advantageous.
- Based within a commutable distance of Stevenage.
Assembly Technician Position Remuneration
- Salary - £26,000 to £30,000 - dependent upon experience, skill and qualifications.
- Full time position - Monday to Friday.
- 25 Days Holiday, plus bank holidays.
- Pension Scheme. 8% contribution from company.
