Swindon’s assessment Team, consisting of 5 PODs managed by 5 Assistant Team Managers and 2 Team Managers. Each POD, comprising 4 Social Workers and an Assistant Team Manager, is on duty once every 5 weeks.
During duty week, Social Workers handle a caseload involving statutory assessments or child protection investigations, contributing to plan development. Cases needing further help with then be progressed as smoothly as possible to their Community and Safeguarding team.
