The Asset Management Team is a busy team dedicated to delivering the Asset Management strategy by ensuring the Council has the right buildings that are fit for purpose and in the right locations to support the delivery of all the Council’s services.
The team seeks an Asset Management Officer to assist in the production of service Asset Management plans, support the Principal Asset Management Officers in their roles as Asset Management departmental business partners and assist in the production of option appraisals and business cases required for the delivery of the Council’s asset review and asset rationalisation programmes. The post-holder will also be required to implement approved rationalisation projects by planning and co-ordinating staff and service relocations in accordance with the Council’s financial and other regulations.
Applicants should have the ability to plan and prioritise their workloads to meet the team’s strategic aims and objectives, to analyse specialised and complex information and to identify problems and initiate solutions. Applicants should also have highly developed communication skills as they will be required to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
Site visits will be required so the ability to travel is essential for this role.
