About the role
SBHG is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our Assets Team. In this role, you will lead the operational delivery of our asset function and deliver a proactive approach to Asset Management; with the aim of delivering an improvement in resident satisfaction and quality of homes.
This role will manage and act as the custodian for the asset investment database, its governance, data quality and reporting; including utilising repair and stock investment data to optimise planning of asset investment programmes, support business planning, minimise reactive repairs and initiate stock assessments and appraisals.
Key Responsibilities
- To lead your team in delivering customer focused, efficient and effective services.
- In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, responsible for monitoring and reporting the delivery of programmes of work that are aligned to our business plan and investment strategy.
- Continually review and update the asset appraisal system, stock condition data, energy assessment procedures and forward maintenance plan.
- Develop a priority list of those properties which require a level of investment to achieve a sustainable decent home that will not deliver a viable return within the 30-year business. planning cycle and advise the senior management on recommended disposals
- To create a high performance culture where all colleagues understand their role, what they need to do and how that contributes to the wider Customer Strategy
- To have regular 4/6 weekly 1:1s and annual reviews with your direct team members, delivering ensuring we always deliver to a high standard an in a timely way

About you
We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of Strategic and Operational Asset Management; including developing policies, procedures, standards and processes. You will have experience of directly managing and matrix managing staff to deliver outcomes and the ability to produce, interpret and manage budgets.
