Assistant Accountant 6-9 Months

Robert Half are delighted to be partnered up with a fantastic Property Management business based in the West End of Glasgow who are going through an exciting period of change. They are in the infant stages of financial transformation and as such they are looking to add an Assistant Accountant to the team for 6-9 months.

6-9 months - Glasgow West End (On site 5 days) - £27-30k DOE

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation of vendor accounts, across multiple entities.
• Prepare and maintain financial records, including journals, ledgers, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Supporting senior management with expense claims
• Assist with VAT returns, month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparation of accruals, prepayments, and adjusting journal entries.
• Assist with payroll processing, including calculation of employee hours, preparation of payroll reports, and coordination with external payroll providers.
• Respond to inquiries from vendors customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions and account balances.

Requirements

• Experience working in an Assistant Accountant role
• Background dealing with a high volume of transactions
• Available for an immediate start
• Demonstration of commitment to completing contract
• Experience with Opera would be beneficial but not essential

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
