An expanding business on the outskirts of Ipswich is looking for a part time Assistant Accountant to assist with the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, forecasts, information and analysis that enables management.
This successful candidate will need to have month end experience and have worked towards your AAT Qualification.
Responsibilities:

• To calculate and post all monthly journals including accruals, prepayments, provisions, intercompany, Payroll, depreciation Balance sheet releases.
• Monitor Fleet costs against budget to ensure car allowances are correct. Cross reference to Payroll allowances.
• Maintenance and control of the General Ledger to ensure all nominal accounts are up to date, Maintain chart of accounts that is compatible with effective analysis.
• Complete Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation and review of the Monthly Management Accounts pack, monthly forecasts and annual budgets, investigating variances and providing commentary.
• Responsibility for monthly Payroll submission to Bureau service.
• Complete and submit quarterly VAT return for the group.
• Assist with the annual P11d and PSA Calculations
• Assist with preparation of Year end Audit, reconciliations and working papers.
• Assist with the development of the Financial Reporting models.
