Join our clients welcoming finance team as an Assistant Accountant and play a crucial role in their financial operations. They are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to manage supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing non-PO invoices, credit card transactions, and expenses in SAP, ensuring adherence to HMRC regulations.
- Matching supplier invoices with purchase orders and goods receipts to ensure accuracy.
- Addressing supplier queries and maintaining precise supplier account records.
- Managing payment proposals, executing bank transfers, and handling urgent payment requests.
- Overseeing daily bank postings and supporting cash flow forecasting efforts.
- Pursuing overdue invoices and obtaining missing remittance advices.
- Preparing monthly reconciliations and contributing to budgetary control.
- Assisting with year-end audits and driving process improvements.
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Early stages studier or keen to start studying ACCA or CIMA
- Excellent understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
