Assistant Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our amazing team.

Location: Scout Store, Lancing (with hybrid working)

Salary: £35,412 - Band E, Level 3 (Inclusive of Market Supplement)

Term: Permanent

Working Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Assistant Accountant Role:

Scout Store is constantly changing and evolving to meet consumers changing expectations. 

As the Assistant Accountant you will be a key contact in the audit process.  You will be responsible for preparing schedules and information in advance of the audit process. 

You will act as one of the main contacts during the audit period responding to extensive enquiries relating to Balance Sheet and Income Statements.

What we are looking for in our Assistant Accountant:

• Experience of undertaking audit and liasing with the audit team
• Understanding of key accounting concepts and how to apply that knowledge
• Knowledge of VAT reconciliations and processes
• Experience of ERPs/accounting packages
• Highly accurate with attention to detail
• Good knowledge of Microsoft                      
• A flexible worker who can learn quickly and taken on additional tasks as required
• Able to balance workloads to achieve deadlines
