Form of workSF are currently working with a Services business exclusively based in Nottingham looking for an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. This role offers great opportunity for progression for the right candidate.
Salary up to £35,000

Job duties:
Support in completing the month end task list for all company accounting transactions and key balance sheet reconciliations by the agreed deadline. This includes journals for depreciation, accruals and prepayments, and central recharges.
Prepare the monthly management accounts for both the directors and shareholders.
Maintain the cashflow forecasts for the 3-month weekly and 12-month monthly reports.
Prepare and pay the quarterly VAT returns for all the relevant group companies.
Coordinate the monthly payroll adjustments file and check all adjustments are processed on time and accurately.
Set up the payroll and PAYE payments and post the payroll journal by department.
Maintain the pension scheme enrolment records for starters and leavers and input monthly contributions processed through the payroll.
Any other ad hoc tasks or analysis requested by the Finance Director.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting role expected.
Experience of using Xero desirable.
Advanced Excel skills needed, particularly PivotTables and VLOOKUP's.
Team player.
