Assistant Accountant

Robert Half is currently working with a highly reputable organisation based in Edinburgh, to recruit an immediately available interim Assistant Accountant.

£15 - £19 per hour Hybrid Working Temp to Perm

The Role

As Assistant Accountant you will have a key role in supporting the annual report and accounts process including audit compliance. You will be supporting to embed a new capital asset management framework into business as usual, including building and maintaining key processes. You will support in providing assurance to senior leadership on balance sheet reporting and supporting in the provision of technical advice to the unit and wider business.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of the year end statutory annual accounts ensuring compliance with best practise and current IFRS requirements
• Support in the upkeep of annual accounts framework to ensure compliance with all accounting requirements and legislation
• Interact with external audit to meet audit deliverables
• Assist with assurance reporting to senior leadership team, ensuring bank and balance sheet account reconciliations are up to date and reviewed accordingly.
• Support with development and upkeep of capital asset management business as usual processes and activities within the Financial Accounting team

What are we looking for?

• Part-Qualified, Fully Qualified or Qualified by Experience
• Min 1 years experience in a finance team, preferably general ledger
• Strong Excel skills
• Immediately Available

What is on offer?
£15 - £19 per hour

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
