SalaryWe are currently working alongside an excellent business based in Bolton who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their current finance team. The client is a large multinational business, and the role will be based within their UK reporting team.
Initially the role will provide strong monthly financial reporting support and over time you will also gain experience to some commercial reporting in the wider business. You will be part of a well-established and supportive team, and you will be well placed to gain some exposure to fellow peers who can assist your career growth.

Your duties as Assistant Accountant will include: -
Support the production of the year end and month end reporting processes, including reconciliations and journal preparation.
Responsible for the internal expenditure and expenses, managing internal relationships with budget holders.
Manage the intercompany payments/recharge system across the subsidiaries and report up to Group.
Responsible for the daily cashflow, bank reconciliations and cash balances.
Assist with the month end balance sheet reconciliations.
Continually improve the internal reporting controls and processes.
Manage the general ledger transactions, accruals and prepayments and associated reconciliations.
The successful candidate will be confident and ambitious in their approach, and ideally be working towards qualifying in the profession in the next 2 years although this is not a pre-requisite.
You will already have experience within a finance function and be confident at transactional reporting with some exposure to the month end production of the accounts and strong Excel knowledge. The role offers progression and the chance to gain experience across the business working with a variety of departments.
