Aila is excited to be partnered with a funded renewable energy firm based in Central London in the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant to join their team in this newly created position.
We are recruiting for a part-qualified Assistant Accountant who has experience in a similar role exposed to management of payment processes and intercompany transactions all within a multi-currency/international environment.
Reporting into the Treasury Manager, this role is responsible for day-to-day treasury administration as well as managing the relationship with external providers and working closely with FP&A and other areas of the business on all things cash and payments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review of bank statements and reconciliations of accounts
- Managing intercompany balances
- Management of expenses ensuring they are all declared in line with company policy and reconciled accordingly.
- Management of the payment process alongside the outsourced providers
- Ensuring short-term liquidity is in order in respective countries including moving funds and currency transfers where required.
- Treasury administration including raising invoices for internal recharges, monitoring bank charges and updating FX rates where required.
- Management of both intercompany balances and the share register
- Adhoc Treasury project work as required by the business.
To be successful in this role you will ideally be a Finance/Accounting graduate (or similar qualification) and be actively pursuing a recognised qualification (ACCA/CIMA) as well as having a flexible and adaptable personality to thrive in a business that is ever changing. You will be a strong communicator and be able to build relationships with your internal stakeholders as well as being very collaborative to support the business with its ever-changing needs.
