Assistant Accountant

A next- generation production agency who are looking for an Assistant Accountant Assistant to come in on a part time basis (3 days a week) and assist the Production Accountant and Head Of Finance.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of this role and work alongside the production staff to ensuring that the wonderful things they do so are translated to accurate financials and are guided by insightful, commercial analysis and challenge.
This is a brand-new role as the turnover has doubled in the last few years!!
Key responsibilities
* Download invoices from mailboxes
* Post all project related purchase invoices on PMI and match with POs
* Post all overhead purchase invoices on PMI
* Make online payments on Barclays Internet Banking
* Post and allocate PL payments on PMI
* Post other cashbook payments and non-sales related receipts on PMI
* Bank recs - main account weekly and others at month end
* Process company credit cards
* Reconcile and process petty cash for the office and production.
* Check Creditors, there should be no credit balances unless explainable
* Revalue foreign currencies on PMI
About you
* Must have similar experience working in a similar company
* Experience processing a high volume of invoices every week
* Intermediate Excel or higher (pivot tables, nested functions)
* Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively interact with non-finance personnel
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
* Keen attention to detail with good analytical skills
* Excellent time management kills
* Experience with PMI preferable
