Robert Walters are partnered with a rapidly expanding business in Denbigshire who are seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This is a varied role supporting the finance manager with the day to day running of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
* Processing journals, and supplier recharges
* CIS returns & subcontractor processing
* Completion of daily banking and daily cash reporting
* Inter-company invoicing/invoice booking and intercompany account reconciliation
* Maintaining cash book
* Uploading payroll journals
* Setting up tax, payroll payments and other regular payments on the Bank
* Gain experience in our billing, credit control and accounts payable function
* Assist with reviewing subsidiary accounts each month
* Assist with the preparation of year-end schedules
* Assist with the year-end audit process and deal with any audit queries
* Assisting with Month End processes
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Support for the Finance team with ad hoc reporting and processing as required.

Key Requirements
* Worked in a transactional role previously
* Ideally have experience in CIS returns and Subcontractor processing
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a team offering support and guidance when necessary
* Ability to show initiative and work independently when necessary
* Experience of working in a high-volume transactional environment
* Intermediate level Excel skills.
